This special event celebrates the sixth anniversary of Seoul Art Cinema with the participation of filmmakers who have supported the Cinematheque since its foundation in 2006. Highlights include six films by late French New Wave master Eric Rohmer (including the festival opener Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle) and an intriguing motley of films chosen as inspirations by noted film Korean film directors, including the Japanese film Murderous Instincts (selected by Bong Joon-ho), the Bernardo Bertolucci film Last Tango in Paris (selected by Min Kyu-dong), the incomparable Monty Python and the Holy Grail (selected by Lee Joon-ik), and even the B-movie classic The Evil Dead (selected by Lee Hae-young). Some 12 French films and three classics with Buster Keaton are on offer.
